In order to carve a Mexican Sand Palm, in order to make your own tiki, you will need the following: safety equipment, a sanding block, several different grits of sand paper, and electric sander. Put on your safety equipment: a respirator mask and goggles. Load the sand paper onto your sanding block. Then, sand it manually. If you have an electric sander, you could use it instead. There are various different sizes and styles of sanders. You will need to choose the right one for the job. Once you have sanded it until smooth, then you are ready to stain it.
